The summary below outlines the steps involved in processing an application for free internet access.
 

1

Application received.

Application from institution which is not a school: sent a standard letter of refusal.

Application from a school: sent a form letter, a questionnaire and a schedule of ANM subscription charges.

Questionnaire received.

Schools not meeting the preconditions are sent a form letter with the appropriate section(s) ticked off and a free Internet access fact sheet.
Schools meeting the preconditions are sent a form letter requesting an interview along with a free Internet access fact sheet.

Interview performed by ANM committee members (at least three) using the scoring tool.  

School, if declines or if scores insufficient number of points on scoring tool, is declined from the scheme.  
School, if still interested and if scored sufficient points on the scoring tool, offered the option to start the six month discounted internet access.

Contract.

Drawn up and signed.

Six month evaluation.

Performed by randomly visiting every two months to assess and assist with progress toward stated goals.

After six months school status assessed.

If school has not achieved stated goals full fees will be charged.

If school has achieved stated goals free Internet access will be given.

Ongoing evaluation.

Performed randomly once every three months to monitor school adherence to the scheme.

Contract and school performance reviewed.

On an annual basis by the committee using information from monitoring activities.
